Targeted, hands on cutting training for apprentices preparing for Year 3 assessments.

This workshop focuses on two core assessment cuts - graduation and uniform layers - supporting learners to build consistency, control, and confidence behind the chair.

Designed to help apprentices understand what’s required, refine their technique, and feel fully prepared for assessment conditions.

We work alongside current industry training frameworks, supporting participants to apply their cutting in a practical, salon ready way.

• Stylists who feel inconsistent or unsure in their cutting
• Employers wanting their apprentices confident and assessment ready

Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Participants: Total class maximum of 8

How the Day Runs:

• Small group, hands on training
• Live demonstration with clear, step by step breakdown
• Practical work with real time correction
• Individual coaching and support
• Additional educator support provided where required

Mannequin Information:

Participants may:

• Bring their own (recommended: ‘Cher’ from Dateline Imports), or
• Purchase one from SalonED at cost

What to Bring:

• Full cutting kit including spray bottle
• Hairdryer and styling tools
• Notebook and pen
• Mannequin (if not purchasing through SalonED)
