Throughout the day you'll revisit practical colour theory, including formulation and toning, before progressing through three commercially focused balayage techniques. 

By understanding not only how each technique is performed, but why different placement strategies create different results, you'll leave feeling confident applying your new skills with your very next client.

How the Day Runs

• Small group, hands-on training
• Colour theory refresher and toning recap
• Live demonstrations of all three balayage techniques
• Guided discussion around placement, formulation and commercial application
• Lunch
• Practical workshop completed on either a live model (participants are welcome to bring their own for the afternoon practical session) or a quality real-hair mannequin
• Real-time correction, personalised coaching and individual feedback throughout the day
• Additional educator support provided where required

Model & Mannequin Information

Participants are welcome to bring a live model for the afternoon practical session or purchase a quality real-hair mannequin from SalonED at cost.

If you already own a medium/long quality real-hair mannequin with virgin hair, you're welcome to bring your own.

Delivered by the SalonED Education Team together with award-winning guest educator Ceahna Keen from Ponsonby's Kokomo Haircutters, our workshops combine industry experience, practical coaching and personalised support in a professional salon environment.

Designed around small-group learning, participants receive real-time feedback, individual guidance and the opportunity to build confidence through hands-on practice.
