Express Balayage
A fast, commercial technique designed for impact without a full head of foils.

Hand Painted Balayage
Build confidence with freehand placement, product saturation and creating soft, dimensional results.

Face Framing & Subtle Balayage
Learn controlled placement for brightness around the face and seamless, low maintenance colour.

You will also learn when to choose each approach - and how to adapt your placement to the client, the consultation and the result you want to create.

With a maximum of eight learners, there is time to check your placement, correct your technique and help you understand what to change - and why.

About your educators

Led by SalonED founder and educator Helen Cotton, the SalonED Education Team brings decades of salon floor experience together with specialist educator training.

For this launch series, the team is joined by multi award winning guest stylist Ceahna Keen from Ponsonby's Kokomo Haircutters.

You will be taught by people who understand both hair - and how people learn.

Is this lab only for balayage beginners?
No. The techniques can be adapted across different experience levels. Coaching is personalised, so you can build from where you are.

Do I need to bring a live model?
No. You can work on a quality real hair mannequin. Bring your own, or purchase one from SalonED at cost.

Are colour products supplied?

Yes. Colour products used during the lab are included. The techniques can be adapted to the professional colour range used in your salon.

Can a salon owner book more than one team member?

Yes. Multiple seats can be booked, subject to availability.
