The Precision Cutting Lab focuses on two of the most important cutting structures used every day in the salon - graduation and uniform layers.

Designed to build confidence, consistency and technical understanding, this hands on workshop helps learners refine their sectioning, body position, elevation and weight distribution while developing cleaner, more balanced results behind the chair.

Whether you're preparing for assessments, returning to foundational skills, or simply wanting your cutting to feel more controlled and predictable, this workshop provides practical coaching in a supportive salon environment.

We work alongside current industry training pathways while also supporting hairdressers and barbers wanting to strengthen the cutting skills that underpin almost every service they perform.

• Year 3 apprentices preparing for cutting assessments
• Apprentices wanting to strengthen confidence and consistency
• Barbers wanting to improve scissor work and shape building
• Stylists who feel inconsistent or unsure in their cutting
• Employers wanting their team more confident behind the chair

How the Day Runs:

• Small group, hands on training
• Live demonstration with clear, step by step breakdown
• Practical work with real time correction
• Individual coaching and support
• Additional educator support provided where required

Mannequin Information:

Participants may:

• Bring their own (recommended: Real hair - medium/short length), or
• Purchase one from SalonED at cost

What to Bring:

• Full cutting kit including spray bottle
• Hairdryer and styling tools
• Notebook and pen
• Mannequin (if not purchasing through SalonED)

Delivered by experienced educators, Helen and Stefan. This workshop provides real time feedback and practical support in a professional salon environment, helping to build confidence through guided, hands on training.
